Liao Hui snatches 170 kg

These days in Chinese Fuzhou IWF Grand Prix 2015 competitions are held (september 21-23).

Today were competing athletes in the categories -69 (men) and -77 (men) were competing.

Liao Hui, weighing only 73.72 kg was competing in the category under 77 kg. He couldn't do the first attempt of the snatch successfully (160) to lift those kilos in the second attempt. His third attempt was for 170 kg, which he lifted successfully.

In the clean and jerk his first and the only successful attempt was 190 kg (360 kg total), then he twice attempted 211 kg to beat Russian Oleg Perepetchenov's record (210 kg set in 2001, Trenchin), but unsuccessful, let us mention that the clean and jerk gold medal was taken by Kirill Pavlov (193 kg). In the same category the second and third places were taken by athletes from Kazakhstan (Kirill Pavlov and Aidar Kazov, who, several days ago, became champion of Asia 2015).

There is a prize fund for this competition, thus, the winner gets 8000$, the second - 5000$, the third - 3000$.
