Russian athlete Andrey Rodichev climbed the highest peak of Europe, mount Elbrus, with 75 kg/165 lbs barbell on his back (on 8/September/2015).

"Climbing took 8 days. No one has ever made anything like this. And now the barbell decorates the peak of Elbrus and is a part of a monument established there."- said Andrey.
Before the start the athlete tied the bar on his shoulders with a cushion under it.
The aim of this action is to attract attention on sports, in this particular case - on powerlifting.
Andrey Rodichev is a Bodybuilding Master of Sports candidate (a Soviet-Russian term).
The bar was stolen afterwards.
One of the probable reasons for this is the price: Eleiko bar with those 25 kg plates cost nearly 1500 dollars.
Let us remind that the bar was given by ELeiko.
